TROUBLESHOOTING CLAWGS V2:
Always assess sizes and strap adjustments while dogs are STANDING.
Toes spread when dogs stand. Claws and toes recede into Clawgs when dogs lay down and when paws are limp or lifted.
Therefore, Clawgs should be a bit loose on laying dogs or lifted paws. If Clawgs are snug when dogs are lying, they'll be too tight and possibly too small when dogs stand.

DOG LOOKS UNCOMFORTABLE (part 1)
When heel straps fall below dogs' paws' sides' bone prominence, they can hold together toe bones that want to spread when dogs stand.
Clawgs' heel straps' top edges' stitches should always be on or above dogs' paws' sides' bone prominence, which you can feel on paw sides.

If heel straps fall below dogs' paws' sides' bone prominence, slightly tighten the heel straps by pulling one or two additional heel strap edge stitches through both buckle sides.

Ensure the excess heel straps point forward (toward toes) under buckles' finger tabs.

Pull all heel strap slack between the two buckle loops through the second buckle loop.
If there's slack between the two buckle loops, it'll get pulled through the first buckle loop, which loosens Clawgs.

If you are unable to wrap the heel straps top edges' stitches above dogs' paws' sides' bones while Clawgs' sole covers standing dogs' toe pads, the Clawgs are too small.

TOES SLIDE THRU CLAWGS FRONT CLAWS' OPENING:
If toes slide through Clawgs' front claws' openings, the Clawgs are most likely too small.
Try lowering the sliders (sizes 7-12), but make sure the straps under the slider don't press front claws.

It may be easiest to note the slider adjustments you'd like to make, remove Clawgs, then lower the slider while they're off paws, then put them back on.
Do not lower sliders to press claws. The slider should be on or just below front knuckles.

Cutting slits straight back between front toes and side claws frees up Clawgs front edge to hug the front side of front (middle) toes below front (middle) claws.
This is particularly beneficial for Size 1-6 Clawgs V2 because those sizes to not have sliders to hold back front toes.
This is also useful for dogs with long front claws and knuckles that are set back far with respect to front pads.
**Note that all Clawgs mailed after August 2024 already have slits cut.**
If toes are still sliding through Clawgs' front claws' opening, the Clawgs are too small.

CLAWGS ROTATE OFF CENTER:
Clawgs' heels have two pockets, which center on dogs' heel pads' back two bumps.
If Clawgs rotate off center, tighten the front (middle) toe straps.
Tightening front (middle) toe straps pushes sliders (sizes 7-12) against front knuckles, which pushes paws back in Clawgs, which sets dogs' heels into Clawgs' heels, which centers paws in Clawgs.

Note that the front straps loosen when opening size 7-12 Clawgs wide to put them on paws.
Therefore, it's a good idea to tighten each front strap until you see the slider move back to gently hold front knuckles every time you put on Size 7-12 Clawgs V2

It's also a good idea to center Clawgs every time you put them on a good idea. When Clawgs start centered with dogs' heels set in Clawgs' heels, they are more likely to stay centered.

After centering Clawgs, tightening side straps to gently hold the front sides of dogs' side toes while they're standing may help keep Clawgs centered, but tightening the front straps is the most beneficial.

If one or both side claws touch Clawgs' sole while dogs are standing, marking and trimming the excess sole under side claws will also help stop Clawgs from spinning off center.
When dogs' side claws extend past Clawgs' soles' edges, they snag the edges, which prevents Clawgs from spinning.

DOG LOOKS UNDOMFARTABLE (part 2):
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN SIDE STRAPS!
Toes spread when dogs stand with their weight on their paws.
If Clawgs are snug on lying dogs or limp or lifted paws, they will be too tight when dogs stand.
The side strap stretchiness is meant to let dogs spread their toes, not squeeze them together. Dogs hate their paws being squeezed from the sides.
Overtightening side straps typically does the opposite of people are intending. It typically wedges paws forward rather than holding them back or keeping them centered.
It is better to leave side straps way too loose rather than slightly too tight.
